Dr. Jim Duffy

Dr. Duffy draws on several decades of clinical experience

After graduating magna cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa he practiced for over twenty years before joining the faculty at Life University’s School of Chiropractic.  While he was a faculty member at Life University he began his study of functional neurology. Dr. Duffy gained his board certification in chiropractic neurology in 2009 and is a Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology.  He had the privilege to volunteer in the university’s research department where he began his association with the esteemed F.R. Carrick, D.C. who has pioneered breakthrough methods in diagnosing and treating neurological injuries and disorders.  Later, Dr. Duffy became the director of the Life University Functional Neurology Center. He has successfully treated hundreds of cases using these unique strategies and has recently received certification in a new specialty in brain injury rehabilitation. Dr. Duffy is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology and a Clinician in the Department of Brain Performance and Rehabilitation with the Carrick Institute of Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation.  He is a member of the Georgia Chiropractic Association and the North American Brain Injury Society. He is an item writer for the American Chiropractic Neurology Board and has served as an associate examiner. Dr. Duffy has been published in scientific journals and is currently collaborating with team members on new research. He is a member of the Marietta Business Association and enjoys sharing information about brain health to the community.

Dr. Duffy, a native of Atlanta, met his wife, Renee while attending the University of Georgia. They have one son and a granddaughter.  When he is not working in his practice, he enjoys outdoor activities, nature photography and videography.
