Patients travel from all over Atlanta, the country, and even internationally to see our doctors, and they leave feeling like family. I’m Leslie, Innova’s Patient Care Coordinator. I work with patients, their caregivers, and their families to make sure they have an exceptional experience here.

Let’s start with a phone call. I’ll provide information about the clinic and answer any questions you may have. We’ll schedule a time for you to sit down with the doctor (or speak over the phone, if you’re not within driving distance). These consultations, which are complementary, are important for several reasons. The doctor has the opportunity to learn about your case and confirm that an evaluation at our office is the correct next step. You have the opportunity to tour the clinic, ask the doctor questions, and learn more about our approach. These can be scheduled during business or early evening hours, and can happen over the phone or Skype if preferable.
When it’s time to book your appointment, we’ll discuss the logistics of your time here and specific needs you or your family may have. I can provide hotel recommendations and discounts, or help get your medical records from a doctor. While you’re here, I’ll make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need, including recommendations for things to do in the area and restaurant options.
What makes Innova so unique is that everyone’s time at the clinic is tailored to their needs. There isn’t a package we ask you to buy, or a certain length of time you are required to be under care. Your time here is completely based on your needs and capacity. Between sessions, you may relax at the clinic, take a nap in our resting room, or drive back to your home or hotel. Does your condition make it difficult for you to begin early in the morning? Or do you have a small child who can only focus for short periods of time? We’ll make sure to create a schedule that fits their needs.
A consultation will give the doctor a good sense of your recovery needs and time you may need to spend in the clinic. Typically, patients work with their doctor for 3-5 consecutive days. The goal is to repair and create new neurological pathways. When you have reached that point, the doctor will provide you with at-home therapies, so you can continue to progress independently. The doctor will ask you to stay in close communication via phone, email or video, so that even after your time here, your doctor will be with you every step of the way.
